Merriam Feed + Seed has new owners and a new look, but the same hometown feels.

Some might even say the same feed store smells. The smell of feed bags brings back the nostalgic feelings of the early years of the feed store. Merriam Feed has been a staple in the Merriam community for over 60 years. In 1952, Maurice and Martha Pieters opened the feed store in its first location, just across the street from where it is today. They immigrated from Belgium hoping to create new traditions and memories. The Perrin family purchased the store in 2022 and has kept to the feed store's essence - family, friends, and feed.

The Feed Store Renovation Plan

The Perrins are no strangers to a DIY fixer-upper; Anna always envisions more beyond her dreams, and Brad works hard to make it come true. With the determination and hopes to see the feed store come back to life, the Perrins put their sweat and tears into painting, scrubbing, building, and creating.
