New owners, fresh updates, same great feed-store smell.
Big news: Merriam Feed + Seed is under new ownership and looking sharp but don’t worry, the charm (and that signature feed store scent) is still going strong.
This place has been a Merriam staple since 1952, when Maurice and Martha Pieters opened up shop just across the street from where we are today. They brought their dreams from Belgium and built a business rooted in family, hard work, and feed bags stacked high.
In 2022, the Perrin family took the reins. We're keeping the spirit alive with family, friends, and feed. Just with a few more power tools and paint rollers involved.
A Fresh Coat & a Whole Lot of Elbow Grease
We’re no strangers to a good DIY project. Anna dreams it. Brad builds it. Together, we’ve put our sweat (and probably some tears) into bringing new life to this historic little shop.

The one thing that hasn’t changed? Our feline team.
Nanners, Whitey, and the newest diva-in-residence, Raven, still run the place—when they feel like it. Each one has their own vibe, their own favorite hideout, and their own loyal fanbase. You’re welcome to try spotting all three, but fair warning: they make their own schedules.
